Artist Adam Dix joins the Essential School of Painting Faculty

The Essential School of Painting is delighted to announce that Adam Dix is joining our faculty. Adam, who’s practice extends across a number of media, embodies the spirit of the adventurous artist with the ability to deconstruct the norm. We all look forward to working with him.

A graduate of Middlesex Polytechnic (BAfa) and Wimbledon College of Art (MAfa), Adam lives and works in London.  Winner of the Griffin/ Winsor & Newton studio Artist residency 2016 Adam is also the recipient of the Florence Trust (2013) and the Jealousy Art Residency Prize (2009).

Adam’s Solo exhibitions include Yesterday’s Prophets. Eleven. London (2013) and Urban Nature, Royal Overseas League, London (2004, toured to Edinburgh in 2005). Recent group exhibitions (all 2015) include The Mdina Biennale, Malta; Modern Mythology, Space W10 The Contemporary, London; Strange Cities, Onassis Cultural Centre, Athens and New York.

Dix’ work can be found is in the collections of Fatima Maleki, Anita Zabludowicz for 176 Gallery, Alasdhair Willis, Royal Collection of Monaco, University of Arts London and other private collections… Read more >>>
