London Drawing and The Essential School of Painting have come together to produce this exciting new two-day course on experimental drawing.
Friday and Saturday 10:00am to 4:00pm
This summer course will be dynamic, hands-on and use the human figure as a visual prompt that enables participants (that’s you) to unlock their own creativity and learn to think like an artist. We will focus on technique and materials in a practical, energising environment. We, The ESOP and London Drawing, will combine a wide range of experimental approaches… some traditional and others designed to break with those traditions.
We will cover the basics of fundamental drawing, building skills, knowledge and confidence over the course of the day, and, as we move on to exploring contemporary studio practise, experimentation and working with the skills that you already possess, build up confidence in your artistic identity and your thinking like an artist.
The workshop is suitable for all levels of ability. It provides a stimulating, accessible environment for beginners and an inspirational fresh look at drawing for those with more experience.
