Description
In this course, ‘Baroque your world’ we will be looking at the techniques, visual devices and strategies employed by artists from the renaissance, baroque and rococo periods, and we will think about how to use them in our own work.
We will look at contemporary artists (such as Genieve Figgis and Dale Lewis) who make considerable use out of artists from these three periods, and we will think about how to make transcriptions of our own from various paintings..Artists always learn from drawing from the past, in this course we will make that learning explicit. Come and baroque your world!
