The Essential School of Painting in partnership with Paul Bell, winner of BBC’s The Big Painting Challenge 2015, invite you to join us for two hours on Saturday the 18th of October 2015 for a Big Draw Event in Trafalgar Square.

The Big Draw is the world’s biggest drawing festival with thousands of drawing activities running between the 1st and 31st of October which connect people of all ages with museums, outdoor spaces, artists, designers, illustrators – and each other.
The Big Draw is for anyone who loves to draw, as well as those who think they can’t! Last year The Big Draw was held in over 26 countries with over 400,000 people participating. This year’s theme is ‘Every drawing tells a story’
It is this very aim of bring people from all walks of life together to draw and express themselves creatively that has encouraged us to organise our Trafalgar square Big Draw.
Outline of the day:
Nelson’s Pillar Trafalgar Square London
The event will be for 2 hours. We meet at the 4th plinth in Trafalgar Square at 12.45pm. There will be a short talk by Paul Bell and our Artistic Director Alison Harper.
We will provide you with an Easel, Stool, Paper and Board.
Please dress warmly and you may want to bring a flask or a hot drink.
