The ESOP mentoring programme is a 12 month programme that provides you the opportunity to have an established professional artist and tutor available to advise and guide you in your projects. It is tailor-made to create and encourage a close relationship between the mentor and mentee by providing a structure where each participant sends their work to their specific tutor who in return gives critical perspective and insight into the participant’s practice. The programme in its very essence is ideal for all levels of experience as we are able to match each participant’s needs to particular tutor-artists. For more on our tutors see our tutor page.
The Gold mentoring programme forms part of The ESOP Mentoring Programme. Running for 12 months it provides the participant with more in person sessions with their mentor than The ESOP Classic Mentoring programme.

The Gold Mentoring programme provides you with the following
- Four (4) face to face visits either at the tutor’s studio or at the school’s studio for in-depth discussion and appraisal of your progress, followed by a detailed written appraisal and next steps you’re your tutor. During your 1st face to face meeting a critical appraisal of the work you sent during the application process will be done and an in-depth discussion on the structure for the next 12 months done.
- Three (3) Phone/Skype sessions of one hour in between the face to face meetings to follow up on your progress and a verbal appraisal. You will need to send by email or Dropbox prior images of your work in progress before the telephone/Skype sessions.
