“Tongues of Diamond” was a group show of the artists Alison Harper, Debbie Lee, Helen Flockhart, Lesley Burr and Rosemary Beaton in 1998 held at The Collins Gallery, University of Strathclyde.

All five artists represented in the copy of the exhibition booklet below work with images that have an emotional resonance on a mythic or archetypal level, some more consciously than other. They are evolving a new and personal imagery crossing between the ‘personal’ and the ‘collective’ unconscious and also. in some cases, borrowing from different cultures where they find an authentic resonance with their own experience…
