(One day course) Portraits in Ink and Watercolours with Archie Franks Saturday 23rd September 2023 (10-5pm)

Discover the delight of making expressive portraits with the mercurial qualities of drawing inks and water based paints in this one day course with Archie Franks. We will look at contemporary artists who work in this way, such as Marlene Dumas, and practice entering into a bold relationship with our medium and subject; understanding that by giving way to chance, we are also opening the image to the unexpected, the unknown and by choosing what to keep and what to discard, intuiting our way to some profoundly beautiful and mysterious images.

Fee £80
Please note this is a one day course and there are a limited number of places available. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
