The Essential School of Painting is delighted to invite you to five Exhibitions from June to August showcasing the work of our students and scholarship alumni. Please join us at the private views and/or throughout the exhibitions!

ESOP’s Fables

The graduating cohort of this years Advanced Painting Course presents the culmination of two years of intensive studio practice and reflects the directions each individual artist has pursued during their time on the course. With a wide range of painting subjects and approaches, this promises to be a great show.

From students at the beginning of their painting journey to artists refining established practices, these exhibitions reflect the depth and range of work developed across our yearlong courses.

ESOP Scholars Exhibition

3 June – 16 August 2026 Venue: Karamel, 4 Coburg Rd, London N22 6UJ 

Days exhibition is open: Wed 5:30–10:30pm, Thur 6:30–11pm, Fri 4:30–11pm, Sat 1–11pm, and Sun 1–8pm

PIVOTAL brings together work by current ESOP scholars and alumni of the Scholars Programme. The ESOP Newman Young Artists Scholarship programme supports artists age 20-30 to attend our part-time and full-time courses. This exhibition show a selection of some of the 40 young artists the programme has subsidised over the last seven years and recognises their continued development and contributions they are making to contemporary painting beyond the school.
