This online course “Developing Your Art Practice” is for artists who are eager to refine and expand their artistic practice within a vibrant and supportive community. Whether you are an emerging artist or have more experience, this course offers the opportunity to explore both the practical and theoretical aspects of art making.
The course places emphasis on the creation, presentation, discussion, and contemplation of art and one’s practice. Through this varied approach, with the guidance of Bob and Anne the students will work towards cultivating their personal development in subject matter, artistic processes, and material exploration. The aim being empower each student to push the boundaries of their practice, experimenting with new ideas and techniques that can lead to significant breakthroughs in their work. The course also includes insights into new areas of research and contemporary methods of producing, displaying, and disseminating art.
The students will engage in a diverse range of activities these include in-depth tutorials, collaborative group activities, demonstrations of contemporary techniques, and crits that provide valuable feedback.

Bob studied at the RCA between 1996-98 and currently lives and works in London. In 2011 he was the first British Council artist in residence in Singapore, culminating in exhibitions at the National Museum of Singapore and Aisa House, London. He has had numerous solo exhibitions with Gregory Lind Gallery, San Francisco as well as the Herbert Read Gallery, Canterbury, Keith Talent Gallery, London and Domo Baal Gallery, London.

Annie Cattrell FRSS RSA
Artist
Annie holds a Masters degrees from the University of Ulster and the Royal College of Art. A Royal Scottish Academician (RSA) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Sculptors (FRSS). Her practice is often informed by working with specialists in neuroscience, meteorology, engineering, psychiatry and the history of science. TShe is drawn to the similarities and connective that can be found across the study of art, science and poetry.
Annie has undertaken many large-scale public art commissions including Echo at the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail; 0 to 10,000,000 for the award winning Bio-chemistry Department at Oxford University designed by architects Hawkins Brown; and Resounding for Oxford Brookes University. Transformation for the Science Centre at Anglia Ruskin University.
