OPEN DAY: The Essential School Of Painting – Sat 8 Dec 2018

Times 12 to 5pm

All are welcome. Join us on our Open Day, come see the studios, meet tutors and students, talk to us about what course may be suitable for you.

VENUE: The Essential School of Painting, Studio 10 The Chocolate Factory, 5 Clarendon Road, Wood Green, London N22 6XJ

Come enjoy a glass of mulled wine and mince pie with us as we show you what we do and introduce you to our new long and short courses for the New Year. We will also be showcasing our plans for the next year including a brand new painter’s studio programme starting in September 2019.

The Essential School of Painting was established 14 years ago in London with strong links to Glasgow School of Art and is one of a new wave of small independent art schools. It is inclusive, ambitious and responsive to the needs of its students, with supporting drawing and painting being central to the interests of those involved. I’m thrilled to see TheESOP continuing to develop and grow, yet remaining flexible, enthusiastic and open minded in its approach. The ethos and vision of this lively artist community, which includes students, teachers and associates, manages to be both welcoming and challenging. Eileen Cooper RA

TheESOP… the clue is in the name. What this school does really is essential, given the amounts of tutor time students are given in regular art education. Here’s an outfit providing a fantastic alternative – teaching on virtually a one-to-one basis. David Mach RA
