For two days join national award winner artist Lesley Burr for a weekend of painting and drawing the natural beauty of land and seascapes in picturesque Camber SandsCamber Sands lends itself to panoramic views of the sea, perfect for painting deep and contrasting colour, and, as an intuitive, and highly imaginative artist this theme of the interaction of the land and sea has been of interest to Lesley over many years, with several of her works appearing both in public and private collection all over Britain.

This class is suitable for all.

Day One The class travels to Camber Sands to draw, paint and photograph the magnificent scenes of sands, crushing waves and gentle rolling hills. Lesley will also hold an open discussion on how to develop ideas on what to paint and think about while in the field.

Meet at St Pancras international 7.15am return to London 6pm. It will be a long and interesting day, please come along with some wind-proof clothing, water-bottle and snacks, sketch-book and camera. We will break for lunch at 1pm for an hour.

Day Two WORKING IN STUDI0 at The Essential School of Painting.

We are in the studio – 10:00 – 17:00 working on realising your ideas using different paint mediums. The class will start with a short discussion by Lesley on her own work and how she develops her landscape paintings. She will also demonstrate some of her techniques and how she translates her ideas from the field onto canvas in studio. All art material provide by the school.
