Join us this April for on this ongoing online course aimed at nurturing your creative growth within a supportive community. The course, open to all, is ideal for individuals residing outside London  and further abroad or who unable to come to our studios. It offers a practical approach to advancing your skills in portraiture and figurative painting.

Under Tim’s guidance, participants will explore systematic and creative techniques for working with the figure or the face. Through a variety of drawing and painting methods, you’ll learn to capture expressive subjects on your canvas effectively.

Tim’s expertise in colour mixing will be instrumental in helping you develop your palette in oils, enabling you to create stunning ambient light effects and explore the potential of oil mediums. Benefit from one-on-one and group tutelage as you build your body of work with confidence among fellow artists.

Additionally, the course will delve into alternative sources of inspiration, such as photographs, drawings, memories, and imagination, providing opportunities to apply newfound skills to your regular practice.

Tim Patrick

Tim (b. 1988) is a London based Artist who initially studied portraiture at the Charles Cecil Studios in Florence, Italy (2008-10) prior to that he studied in Kingston University (2006-07). Following his studies in Florence Tim joined the University of Brighton (2010-13) and thereafter the Royal Drawing School (2014-15). In 2019 Tim was award with the Elizabeth Greenshield Foundation Grant of emerging Figurative artists and from August 2020 to January 2021 the Artist in Residence, Trinity Buoy Wharf. His work can be found in both private and public collections and has been shown in several London and national exhibitions including the 2018 Threadneedle Prize and the Priseman-Seabrook Collection of 21st Century Figurative Painting.
