This dynamic course uses the human figure as a visual prompt through which participants can unlock their own creativity and learn to think like an artist.
Over the two days you will focus on technique and materials in a practical, energising environment. We combine a wide range of experimental approaches, some traditional and others designed to break with those traditions.
This course is a hands-on drawing experience with practising artists offering group tuition as well as one to one guidance. The basics of fundamental drawing will be covered, building skills, knowledge and confidence over the course of the day and moving on to explore contemporary studio practice and experimental techniques.
You will be encouraged to engage with new concepts and practices and to try a wide variety of differing materials. Working with the skills that you already possess, we will aim to enable you to more fully engage with and realise your own artistic potential, building up confidence in your artistic identity and thinking like an artist.
This course is suitable for all levels of ability. It provides a stimulating, accessible environment for beginners and an inspirational fresh look at drawing for those with more experience.
