OVERVIEW OF THE COURSE:

Dumfries & Galloway in the south west corner of Scotland is the beautiful location for our 5 day residential course and you will be following in the footsteps of many famous artists inspired by the varied and stunning landscape of this area. During the course you will have the chance to work ‘en plein air’ in different locations throughout the county, from the tranquil coastline to the low inland hills and fresh water lochs.

The course offers structured tuition supplemented by demonstrations , illustrated talks and critiques. Our aim is to encourage you to develop ways of seeing and interpreting the landscape through drawing and studies, helping you to work towards a finished piece of work by the end of the course.
