The Essential School of Painting presents a rare opportunity to spend part of the day (10.30-13.30) with Rebecca Salter RA  in her working studio.

Limited places available, book early. This unique class will be in the artist’s London studio where she will present and talk about her work; Rebecca will put up a series of works that form part of one body of work but spread across print/drawing and canvas. This will be followed by a demonstration of Japanese woodblock printing and approaches to ideas and techniques.

♦ A BRIEF HISTORY ON THE ARTIST ♦

Rebecca Salter has a distinguished career. In December 2014 Rebecca become a Royal Academician after being elected to the Royal Academy of Arts. Following her BA Fine Arts Rebecca spent two years in Japan as a research student at Kyoto City University of Arts where she trained in the technique of Japanese woodblock and combined this interest with her main practice in painting. In 2003 she was the artist in residence at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation in Connecticut. In 2011 she had a major solo show at Yale Centre for British Art. Rebecca has also featured in numerous international solo and group exhibitions.

Andrew Wamae is the Director and co-founder of the Essential School of Painting (ESOP).
